Children’s Day, much like festivities, evokes the child within each one of us. The soothing atmosphere of joy and innocence takes over as we attempt to connect with our inner child and with kids around us. While there are many such activities one could plan to spend this day, revisiting our favourite animated films and favourite characters from them would be the perfect way to celebrate the child within. The antics of our beloved animated characters and their best pals is a trip down nostalgia road for us adults and an opportunity for children of today to learn the true definition of friendship. This Children’s Day, here are five pairs from the world of animated films that you should revisit to celebrate the day. 1. Moana and Maui - Moana 2 Moana and Maui are amongst the greatest friendship duos in the world of animation with their friendship being admired by fans worldwide. Carl & Russell - Up Friendships can come to be of different ages, what matters is understanding towards one another and that is beautifully explained in the movie Up. Carl, an old man who is lonely and sad after he lost his wife, is on a mission to fulfil her final wish.He then meets a young boy, Russell, who wishes to assist him on this journey in lieu of a final merit badge for helping a senior citizen. During the search operations, several incriminating materials including mobile phones, laptops, sim cards, etc. used in the scam were recovered and seized, the ED said. The move came after multiple FIRs were registered in various states regarding fraudulent ticket sales. Since there was a huge rush of fans willing to buy tickets, a third show of the band was added for January 21. In the film, audience will see Gadot playing a high-powered attorney who must race through London, following the cryptic commands of a mysterious Caller, as she fights against time to save her abducted son. Wonder Woman star Gadot's recent credits include Netflix's Red Notice and Heart of Stone, which marked the Hollywood debut of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt. 'Heart of Stone' revolved around Rachel Stone (Gadot), a highly accomplished spy who is also secretly a member of the Charter, a covert organization that relies on advanced technology to thwart potential threats to global safety. In the coming months, Gadot will also be seen starring as the Evil Queen in Disney's live-action Snow White which is due for domestic release on March 21, 2025. Now, as they are gearing up for their India tour in January 2025, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India has called on them to go all green. The organisation has sent a letter to frontman Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and their manager Phil Harvey, urging them to serve vegan meals and encourage leather-free fashion during their India outing. An excerpt from the letter reads, “We have suggestions that we’re sure will strike the right chord: ensure that your concerts in India are vegan and that you set a leather-free example. Cows are considered sacred by many in India, and bovine leather is the most environmentally damaging material in fashion.” Dr Kiran Ahuja, Manager of Vegan Projects, PETA India, is hopeful of a positive response from Coldplay. She says, “Each vegan can save up to 200 animals a year by not eating them. Vegan dishes are a staple in Indian cuisine, and eco-friendly clothing and footwear are widely available.
